Congratulations, and welcome.

About six to eight weeks before the wedding we get in touch to open planning, and from then we are in regular contact until the day.

Between now and then there is nothing major for you to do on our end. If something changes on your side, tell us whenever it happens so we can be on the same page as well!

If you need help between now until the check in, do message us! We're happy to help with planning your itinerary or questions for your big day.

Four things at planning: your timeline or run sheet, a short group photograph list, the moments that matter most to you, and contacts for your coordinator or a friend, so we don't have to bother you on the day.

All of it by two weeks before the wedding. 

If you have a coordinator we work from their run sheet and tell them where photography and film need room. If you don't, we build the photography side of the timeline with you on the planning call.

Yes, this is something we strongly recommend to do. The planning call is usually about an hour. Here, we walk through your timeline and buffers to make sure there's adequate time for everything throughout the day. If something comes up before then, message us.

Usually yes, as long as we are not booked immediately after you. Ask as early as you can, added hours are charged at our hourly rate.

A meal is welcome but never required. We eat when you eat, quietly at the back of the room.

Parking or reimbursement is appreciated where the venue charges for it. The one thing we do need is access; if your venue is private, let them know we arrive before you do, so nobody is holding us at the door.

Coverage runs from our arrival to our finish, and quiet stretches in between are still coverage. Breaks are the exception, and they work like this.

A gap only counts as a break if it runs 2 continuous hours or more.

A break is time where we are not needed to shoot, be on standby, travel, or be on site. Breaks are agreed in advance, during the planning conversation, so everyone knows where they fall.

Days run late. It is normal, we plan for it, and it is not something to apologise for.

We keep shooting and quietly protect what matters most. If the delay starts eating into other items in the schedule, we can suggest what to shorten.

Only when it helps. You won't be heavily posed through the day. Now and then we'll offer a small nudge, where to stand for better light, or a moment alone together after the ceremony, and then we step back.

Most couples are more natural than they think on camera. If you prefer more direction, just let us know, and we'll offer more direction.

They go faster with a group list. For reference, five groups take about fifteen to twenty minutes.

Send us the list at planning and name one person on each side who knows everyone by face. They gather people, we photograph them, and you get back to your guests sooner.

We can usually stay. Overtime runs at our hourly rate in full hour blocks, agreed on the day with one of you rather than with a relative, and invoiced afterwards so nothing is settled at a wedding.

Depending on the situation, we may use flashes to elevate the image. If your venue or ceremony is one where you'd prefer no flash or distractions, let us know.

After dark, at the banquet or on the dance floor, we may use soft light bounced off a ceiling or a wall, or even direct flashes.

Entirely your call, and we work happily either way. If you want an unplugged ceremony we are glad for your solemniser to say so, mostly because phones held out into the aisle end up in your photographs.

For group photos, you may want to have the group shots only shot by us with our camera. This prevents guests from looking away from our group shots, and speeds things up significantly.

Outside the ceremony, let them shoot. Guests photographing each other is part of the day.

We follow the house rules. Churches, temples and mosques all differ; some restrict movement during the rite, some ask us to stay behind a line, some ask for no flash at all.

Tell us during planning, so nobody is negotiating anything during your ceremony.

We shoot anyway, and rain often makes better photographs than clear sky. If rain is not your thing, we can always shift indoors or find time later in the day.

We always have a small backup team in place should anything happen so we're always prepared.

The editing stays entirely ours either way, so your set still comes back looking like us.

We have backups for everything. Backup cards, bodies and lenses in the room with us. A failure means changing camera, not a gap in your day.

Talk to us early and we will do what we can with the new date. The terms live in your contract.

Sneaks and previews can be done upon request. They are subject to our editing queue and availability, so we can't always guarantee them, especially during peak periods.

If we finish early, you hear from us early.

Your gallery is only ever edited by us, warm and true to the light in the room. We don't heavily restyle skin tones or swap skies.

What you get is a curated set, and a film cut for feeling rather than for a list of shots.

Yes, within reason. Tell us which images matter and we'll look again at them. Reshaping bodies or faces is not included in the base packages, and we won't convert the set to a different style from the one you booked us for.

No. Raw files are unfinished and uncorrected, and they are not representative of our work.

The editing isn't a finishing pass, it is where the warmth and the colour come from. An unedited file isn't another version of your photograph, it is half of one.

You can send suggestions and we'll try to use one. The catch is licensing, so commercial tracks usually can't be cleared for a film you're allowed to post publicly. We'll find something close in feeling from our licensed library.

Yes, as an add-on. A short vertical cut of about a minute, built from the same footage once your main film is finished.

It sits outside the standard collection because it is a separate edit rather than a crop of the film you already have.

Your gallery link stays live for three months. Please download the full size files to your own drive early rather than treating the gallery as storage.

When we shoot, we record to two sd cards at once in camera, so we immediately already have a backup on site.

Right after the wedding, we do the backup at the studio to 3 separate hard drives, the same day. We also keep another copy at home.

Only when all copies are verified, we format the original sd cards. Your raws will always be safe.

Of course. They're yours to post and print. Feel free to tag us!

All we ask is that filters and extra edits stay off if you are tagging us; the colour is the part we spent four months on.

Please do. Print from the full size files rather than a web sized version or a screenshot, and any decent lab will do them justice.

Yes. Send the link; family downloading their own copies saves you being the middleman for a year.

If a vendor asks to use an image, they are welcome to with a credit to us.

We share some curated weddings on our site and socials, and never before yours has been delivered to you. Photos are always selected respectfully, and we rarely publish complete galleries.

If you would rather we didn't post at all, or would rather certain moments stayed private, just say so. Most of our leads come from showcasing our work and portfolio, so a confidentiality fee applies. Nothing changes in how your day is shot or edited.
